Rain Dances for drought and fire effected communities.

While The Prairie Oysters have been busy working and making a name for themselves, they have also managed to give their time for free to some very worthy causes. The guys have been collaborating with local organisations putting on free shows* for rural communities suffering the effects of the drought and bushfires. The aim of the Rain Dances are to get people together and shift their focus off the hard times for one night, meet key people who are there to help and just let their hair down. Since February 2007, The Prairie Oysters have taken their Rain Dances around regional centres in Victoria and Southern NSW including Mathoura, Lockington, Licola, Omeo, Yarragon and Rochester. If you are a member of an organisation who would be interested in holding a Rain Dance or an event for a drought affected community, please email us to arrange for a chat. *Rain Dances are held on a non-profit, basis. Costs for accommodation, and equipment hire are negotiated to suit the requirement of each event. The actual stage performance, based on a four hour event is provided free of charge.
