The song is dedicated to the people of rural Australia who are really doing it tough thanks to the worst drought in Australia in living memory. The song is inspired by the fantastic work being done by Aussie Helpers and the many volunteers and workers who put in the hours looking out for those in need. When The Dust Settles is a song about facing adversity, accepting the things you can't control, not suffering in silence and how the people who matter in your life is the key to rising above the tough times.

The song was debuted live in Rochester and Lockington in Northern Victoria on the weekend of the 17th and 18th November and it struck a chord with the farmers and residents of these drought stricken communities.
